I also like guns with character. If they could just tell their story.....
I like old Marlins a lot!....Here is an old S & W .38 I carry around here some, in case I get close enough to a Coyote....It is tight and very accurate. Right on at 50 yards..

I love old guns (and other old tools), and the stories that go with them.

The oldest I have is an inherited Winchester 1897 shotgun manufactured in the 1930s.

They are really practical links to history.

I love the old and unusual guns too. I have a folder that my son will get with the guns when the time comes. It lists what I paid for the guns, how I got them and so on. Just some history on them for his entertainment. He was there for some of the purchases, so I hope it brings back fond memories of our time together. I know I get it out from time to time and smile when I remember. On the sheet I leave notes too like when we take them hunting, what we got with them and at what distance. Just something a little different. I hope he enjoys that I took the time for it. Right now he doesn't know I have done this. He lives in IL, so rather than hassle with it he uses my guns when we hunt. ;)
