I ordered a stock for my 1022, aats1022 was the part number. I get it today, try to put my 1022 in and it's for a 22 magnum. I look at the invoice, it's an aats1022m. Of course, now it's my word against theirs...

This sucks.

Ummmm, I just got a PTR91 A3R, 14 mags, mag pouches, cleaning kit, shooting tripod...sometimes I hate it too especially when buying shoes and optics that you are unfamiliar with.

Just make sure you buy from a place you can return to.

I do try to support my local gun stores. However recently I wanted a Mini Draco and none stocked it. I ordered one online at 3:00 pm on a Wednesday and it was delivered to my FFL and in my hands in less than 24 hours. I love this country.

They didn't send you an order confirmation/invoice when you placed the order? Anyplace I've ever ordered something from has done that, so I have a record of what I ordered.

I made a special folder in my email just for Orders. I keep a copy of all my correspondence/order confirmations/receipts, etc. when I order online until I've received the product and have made sure that I'm happy with it.

You CAN order the wrong thing from a LGS. The thing is, it's easier to bring back.

*Knocking on wood* I've never received anything except what I've ordered online. Though once one thing I ordered from an auto parts online retailer came in damaged...they took it back, no questions asked.

How is it your word against theirs? Your order confirmation or order history will have the model number in it, compare that to the picture you're going to take of the model number on the stock you received, send that to them.

I shouldn't have a huge problem returning (Amazon?), but I'm really horrible at actually shipping items...
