House Enrolled Act 1065 (gun locked in your car at work)

Started thinking about how best to affect this, and thought of this.

Governor Daniels: Ask Mitch

Sent Gov. Daniels a short note asking him to support our second amendment rights. Didn't rant, Kept it short, courteous, and on subject. You guys know as well as I do that political animals all listen when one side of any debate starts voicing its opinions to them in large numbers. According to the front page of our forum, we have 8302 members. I wonder what effect on the governor's thought process that many short, polite e-mails asking for his support of such a hot button issue would have? Hmmm...
Maybe that political science degree wasn't a big waste, after all....

I also sent a short email asking for his support. His support gets my support at election time.

I sent one too. Praised his previous support of 2nd Amendment issues. Also pointed out that the same bill prevents gun confiscation during emergencies (ala Katrina). Mentioned this bill was a good compromise between 2nd amendment rights and private property rights of employer. I send a different e-mail every other day.
