Hello all! I'm in Indy and I am new to the forums and the gun scene. Inherited a bring back PPK from my grandfather and a Model 60 .22 rifle.
I took the 2 guns to shoot, after they were supposed to have been cared for my uncle inlaw. Model 60 jammed repeatedly and grip cracked on PPK (probably won't shoot again and haven't decided yet whether I will keep or sell it.).
Haven't taken rifle apart to clean, but hopefully a good cleaning and oiling will alleviate the jams. (any experience anyone?)
Will likely purchase new handgun in the near future. Considering a Sig 220 or 229. But have shot neither. Need to get to a range and do the rent thing.
Anyway, hello all. I will try to contribute, but it may be a while before I can pay the community back for he wealth of knowledge on these forums. (Already learned I will likely overpay at the gun show, especially this year! Thank you!)
