    I think it is important to recognize both MLK's contributions to furthering USian society and the progress made in achieving his dream. Perhaps not everywhere, but in most places, the divisions between races are few. And, those divisions are most often self-imposed rather than gov't imposed.

    The racial situation is improving with each generation.

    A larger socio-economic issue may be an issue, but race itself is becoming less of a divider.

    I thought it was common for Democrats to believe that you shouldn't have to give up your vote just because you're no longer alive.
