What is the correct way to measure a magazine if a match/division uses limitations such as 170mm for single stack or 140mm for double stack

This magazine is clearly less then 140mm

This magazine is clearly more then 140mm

But what is this magazine...139mm? 140mm? 141mm?

Or maybe a better question would be...does anyone know if a 9mm Mec-gar 20 round p226 magazine is legal to use under the 140mm rule?

Read this and look at Appendix D for which division. Then look at Appendix E1 for how to measure your mag.
