Had a First While Fishing.

Took the wife and kids out to a lake to go fishing yesterday. Had a great time. Caught Bass, Bluegill, Crappie, Catfish and Sunfish.
I have been fishing for 36-37 years and I had a first. I caught a live Muscle on a rod and reel. Nice size one too. Lol
Carefully removed it from the hook and released it back into the lake.

Snagged a muscle is probably more appropriate.

Yeah because taking that ONE out of the lake makes all the difference. Zebra MUSSELS are small and yes I have snagged them while bottom fishing on Erie. My guess would be that it was a freshwater mussel, which I have also snagged while river fishing.

I pulled a couple up as a kid, always entertaining. I ate my first mussel this past Friday at dinner, no too bad.
