Guns I bought after seeing them in the media:
1.) Walther PPK after seeing James Bond 007-Rugged, reliable and really cool. Shoots great...... for everyone but me. After 20 years some of the flesh in the web of my hand is actually growing back again. Sold it!
2.) S&W 29 after seeing Dirty Harry-Looks cool, shoots great, as comfortable to carry as an anvil. Still shoot it, never carry it anymore.
3.) 44 AutoMag after seeing Sudden Impact- Can't take it shooting without drawing a crowd. Expensive to shoot and worth every dime.

Guns I STILL want after seeing them in the media:

1.) Mauser "Broomhandle" 1896 Mauser after seeing Clint Eastwoods character Joe Kidd utilize it wiyj impressive results. I gotta have one.
2.) Springfield 1903 after seeing Gary Cooper portray Alvin York
3.)The wearable Minigun used by Jessie Ventura in Preditors where it is used to clear a jungle quicker then a bulldozer. Chances of me getting this are somewhat slim!

Felt lucky enough to fire a few from a model 29 last weekend. Man, that'll dig some divots. Not buying one, though.

Walther PPK, i have always been a James Bond fan.
    :+1:

I also like Clint Eastwood. I have a S&W 629 (the stainless version of Dirty Harry's gun). It's set up with a scope, have taken one nice deer with it that's mounted above my gun safe. I also bought an M1 Garand on GunBroker after watching Gran Torino. I always wanted an M1 Garand, but that movie just reminded me.

Saw this custom 1911 in the movie "Paycheck".

Although I would do a few of the mods differently, the overall look is quite sophisticated, IMO. I'm still on the prowl for my first 1911.

Bought my first Sig P228 after watching the X-Files.
When I went in to buy my first handgun, I wanted a P220 in .45ACP because of the X-Files. Sadly, at the time I entered the market, some major police agencies had just standardized on that very beast and were sucking up all of them in the supply chains. I settled for my Taurus PT-945.

Oh, almost forgot, since it was issued to me, I had gotten a Sig P228, (M11 issued), had gotten a personal one, but they also show it on EVERY NCIS episode.

My first gun purchase was a 92FS. This was right after it was announced it was replacing the 1911 by the Army. Have never been disappointed. The first Die Hard movie was the first movie were I could say "Hey, I have that gun!"
