Gun paid for then delayed???

I've never turned over money prior to the check being approved. Did he let them hold on to his money while he's waiting for the approval?

I used to buy at a shop that demanded payment before the check and if denied charged a fee. I was never delayed or denied so it wasn't an issue with me.

There "simply" has never been a "simple call to the card-company".

I have been in shops that have done it both ways but to be honest for the shop to cover themselves they should collect the money.

I saw that happen once at Strictly Shooting, too. Only store I've been to where you pay first.
It struck me as odd because you're buying a gun without a background check.

That is odd, I won't pay until I know I can take it home.
