Almost all hospitals have a No Guns policy.
    I just keep it concealed.
If you get your gun stolen out of your car, do you think, even for a minute, that they would compensate you for your loss?

My mom got called out by a nurse once for having her weapon in the hospital, she just looked at the nurse and said that if someone were to come in shooting, she was going to shoot back. The nurse was just confused. One would think that an encounter like that would make people realize that no gun policies and signs do nothing to stop people from actually bringing one in.

I've always CCd into hospitals. Went to Wishard just last month.

Had to put on a gown once at Community South, just piled the gun into my clothes on a chair, and put the gown on. Easy-peasy.

I sent an e-mail to Cinemark Corporate to inquire as to their policy on firearms.
I got a call today, from Dan Myers with Cinemark Corporate, and he informed me that Cinemark’s official policy is that ONLY LEO’S CAN CARRY INTO THEIR THEATERS
    NO CONCEALED WEAPONS, NO OC.
He asked me that we not send e-mails to tell them their policy sucks.
There are other similar encounters on the net. Suffice it to say, gun owners should think twice about giving their money to companies that don’t respect their Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. And think even more carefully about being in crowded public places where they can’t carry.

    .
Just carry in the hospitals What's the big deal. :dunno:

I recently had a CT scan with contrast. I wore in both my carry guns and I too had to wear their backless thigh high number. I asked for a cloth laundry bag and put my duds and guns in that. I kept it with me the whole time and it never left my sight.

I'm sure they found it an odd request from a patient. I just told them, sarcastically, that I carry all my gold with me everywhere. This actually made sense because that bag was weighed down good. The spare mags didn't help either.

The OP was about carrying in a certain hospital, I can't remember which one.
Don't know what the controversy was.
Unless the OP is an employee of said hospital...

I wouldn't recommend doing that again. State law prohibits carry at Wishard, I believe it is a felony if caught. Plus, there are metal detectors in the ER. Not that I agree with the law, but I would hate to see a fellow INGOer on the nightly news for being arrested.
