maybe help her choose caliber but past that SHE needs to like it, and like how it feels. if she doesnt like it and it's not comfortable then she isnt going to shoot it or carry it.

I will agree with this also. My wife was looking for a new gun a few months ago. She and I looked at a lot of different ones and each time she would point at one and I would say why I wouldn't want that one but she kept insisting on them. Finally she got irritated and went to the gun store on her own while I was at work and picked up the Bodyguard 380. She says she loves the gun and enjoys shooting it. Personally, I wouldn't have gotten it because I don't care for the trigger pull but she likes it and that's all that matters. Now she's looking for the next one. Haha

I traded my CZ75BD for a gun for her as a Xmas present.


Here's an idea: just buy what you want, give it to her, and when she say 'no', tell her you'll just have to keep the gun and try again. Repeat as necessary!


Right now, she may not know what she wants until she gets comfortable with shooting in general.
