Hi, I was referred to this forum by a coworker for information from a few threads and came to find many more good threads after browsing around so I thought why not join.
I am somewhat new to firearms but do have some decent archery experience under my belt- nothing to really brag about but enough bring home the meat!
The current state of the world has sparked my interest in self preservation if the SHTF. I very much enjoyed reading through the B.O.B. thread and will probably be on there asking advice myself. I will probably be asking for opinions and whatnot on different guns/ammo/gear as I am not familiar enough with firearms yet to make an educated decision by myself.
I am looking at buying (cash in hand) a Mossberg 930 SPX for home defense, is this a good choice?
I am currently saving up for a Springfield M1 (net yet decided on exact model), and a Sig p226 Tac Ops (SW .40) for myself.
Although I am not licensed to carry, my wife is so I am also looking to buy her a smaller yet reliable pistol for her security. Also taking suggestions on this.
