sad the state our country is in.... but glad of the outcome of this one... unfortunately it goes the other way lots of times.

wonder how long they were in custody for protecting themselves and their daughter.

One BG dead, the other with multiple wounds and in critical condition and no collateral injuries?

Now THAT'S what I call "gun control" !

That's pretty scary. I think in general it would be unwise to shoot at someone who has a gun to your daughter's head though. Makes me wonder how it all came about.

Good for the Dad.... Only thing that would make it better is if both those dirt bags ceased breathing.

And yes, We need to make sure Watts hears about it.

Guns have been part of America since its inception. But the escalation in violence is a distinct phenomenon of the past 40 years. Gun control measures over recent decades, including bans on various weapon types have had no impact on crime. The problem with passing these types of laws is that the criminals don't obey them. Murder is already illegal, and murderers still murder. Are we willing to sincerely investigate the radical changes in our culture that have taken place in recent decades as root causes of the violence?

This one will get me banned for sure...

Obama said, "“We won’t be able to stop every violent act, but if there is even one thing that we can do to prevent any of these events, we have a deep obligation, all of us, to try.” Gun control has to date failed to curb the violence. Are we really serious about ending the violence? And if placing severe limits on abortion would change the culture of violence in America, would we do it? Is death by abortion more acceptable than death by gun? And which one takes more victims?

Wow, that man is one heck of a shot.

So anti-gunners would prefer that everyone in that household be murdered than be allowed to defend themselves? Ask them that. Ask them if they would be okay with the idea of a seventeen year old girl taking a bullet to the head because we no longer can defend ourselves.
