Stopped by and they have a Mossy 500A w/ a 24" rifled barrel w/ open sights for $149.99. Also a S&W 64-3 w/ a 3" barrel for $299.99. Both are in good shape.

Besides, I was busy filling out the paperwork for my early 1960's S&W Md 30, 3" j-frame

I never see deals like this either. I really hate to go in there, but it's the only large sporting goods store around Terre Haute. It seems like every time I go in there I'm ignored or treated like an ignorant piece of dirt.

I'll tell ya it is the most expensive bathroom stop between Evansville and Indy.

I bought a Taurus Judge there a year ago, and got a good deal. I bought a Buckmark there 2 weeks ago, and got a mediocre deal. I was amazed at how much of there stuff was just outragous on price. Especially the ammo.Or the Keltec P3AT that was $299 in the used case, and $299 in the new case. The sales staff seemed more interested in swapping stories than selling anything. I actually said, " Hey buddy, can you come over here long enough to sell me this Buckmark". It was kind of a sour experience.

I got a used Sig P220 .45 w/ night sights for $399 at the Terre Haute store. Also bought my P22 new on sale for $249 thanksgiving day 2008. They have good deals from time to time.

yeah, ive seen that as well. I've been meaning to call them on it just to see what they say. They will deal on used guns some if you ask them.

I talked them down on a used Glock 36 to around $400.

I went by Dick's sporting goods (just happened to be at the mall) and they had 28" Beretta 391's in wood for $729 on clearance. I go to Gander mountain in Greenwood and they have 2 of the same guns, used, nicked up for $799.

I purchased a handgun from them one time on impulse.. and later that evening found it online for a better deal (don't buy on impulse ) Honestly though they have a FEW good deals, but the majority of the time their guns are WAY over priced. It seems like they price used guns consistently for what you could find the gun new if ya shopped around. I just bought a new H&R .308 for $259 and they had a used H&R in there tonight.. for $289. I don't foresee myself dealing with them too much in the firearms department anymore.

I would prefer to support smaller businesses and dealers anyway if I have the opportunity.
