Finally got her in. Purchased a Steyr M9-A1 from a fellow in Alabama. Got the gun, four 15 round mags, a Bladetech holster and 2 mag carrier. Here's some crappy pics.

Sweet! Let us know how she is when you take her out on the range. Steyr pistols have always interested me for some reason

If it shoots anything like my old one did, they're nice. The grip angled back a bit more than glocks makes the recoil feel a bit different and it's rounded a bit more too. Feels great in the hand.

Was getting ready to post: If you at all like shooting a G19, you'll LOVE the M9-A1...

But you've already had one before.

    Just like me!

I re-bought one around Christmas. Me likee.

Wow. That is a gun that was not on my radar until just now. Another one for the wish list...

Seriously. If you EVER have a chance to handle and/or shoot one... You must do it. You'll be hooked.

Ergonomics are TOP NOTCH...just a small step below the Walther P99. Which, in my unprofessional opinion, is the top of the heap.

Combine the great ergos with a low slide/barrel height and you have a VERY comfortable weapon.

    10rds of S&B, controlled pairs, 10 yards

This was the FIRST time I'd shot this particular pistol.

I'm not all that great of a shot... The Steyr just makes me look good.

Indy_Guy_77, you're exactly right. The last one I had was just an M9. It had the manual safety though, which I liked.

As of right now, Steyr is not importing any new pistols. You can find used ones in the classifieds on Steyrclub.com. Had been a member there since I owned my last one. That's where I found this one.

    Congrats!

It might be Glock's hot younger sister, but it is also Hi-Point's second cousin.

The firearms industry is such an inbred family. :D
