My G21-45ACP has always performed flawlessly.

For grins, my bro decided to try a 10mm conversion barrel along with the appropriate G20 10mm magazine. The pistol still shoots well (no FTF or FTE); however, occasionally, it ejects a shell right back into his forehead.

Never had similar issues with Glock conversion barrels in the past for other caliber conversions.

Has anyone ever encountered this, and, if so, how was it resolved (if it was)? I thought about changing the ejector, but, since this is a random problem, I disregarded that idea.

Does anyone know if the ports are different sizes between the G21 and G20?

What are these "ports" that you refer to??
A Glock pistol is not Gas operated, as in an AR, or a AK rifle.

The problem that you describe is related to the ejector (Has different bend on .45acp. than 10MM), and probably extractor angle is different.

Not all that uncommon to have some ejection problems when going to a different diameter case when doing a conversion barrel swap...Bill.

I'm planning on doing that with my G21 too, so it's good to know that the conversion works well. As for putting brass into your face, I get that on just about all of my Glocks. My 19s were terrible about it and my 23 only does it rarely, but they all do it. My 21 will put 2 or 3 cases back towards my face with each full magazine. If I do the conversion barrel and only occasionally get one to the forehead, it would be an improvement.

Ive had a colt do it to me. I think its just a matter of ejector tuning.

I guess, if you were to shoot A LOT of 10MM through your G-21 (with the conversion barrel+G-20 magazines), that you could install a G-20 ejector into the frame of your Glock 21?? Seems like a lot of effort though??..Bill.
