It's hard to put a price on what you'll find a 19 for at the 1500, but you should have a big selection to choose from. That's what's so nice about the 1500. If you're willing to go used you'll just have that much more to pick from.

I'd figure on bringing about $400 in cash and you'll be fine. Don't grab the first one you find though. Looking around is 3/4 the fun! :yesway:

yeah, keep an eye in the classifieds here as well, never know what may pop up.

Also keep in mind if you find a G23, it's the same gun in .40, with the option to drop in a 9mm barrel to shoot both calibers.

Seymour has ACME Sports. There are several members on this forum who purchase NFA stuff; as well as, regular firearms from them. Where you mean by 'eastern Indiana' that is.

$400 won't be nearly enough for a brand new gun. Hardly enough for used, actually....unless it's an all beat-up trade in.

Minimum $450 new is the lowest I've seen.

Then you add sales tax. There's always sales tax unless you buy from an individual.

But yes, keep an eye on the classifieds here, one turns up every once in a while.

The G19 is VERY POPULAR, don't stick around long.

I might be looking for one for the wife, so we'll be in competition. When is the 1500?

I bought mine @ 2 weeks ago and the best i could find NEW was $475 FTF, no tax,

I have found them online as low as $491, and their are a couple of supporting members that sell them for $494 + tax...

The 19 is a a nice choice and I agree that a 23 (.40) is basically the same as stated above. So dont walk away from a 23 if the price is right

I have the 32 (same gun in .357sig). It is a 19/23 frame. ANY of those three can be swapped down to a 9mm with a conversion barrel and advantage arms makes a .22 conversion kit as well. You may find a .357Sig cheaper because most people don't like the cost of the cal. I love that round but I did buy all of the above conversions for the just in case that I might sell it.

Have you shot a 26/27/33? You might kinda like that too.
