I have visited both recently. Castleton and Greenwood. Their prices are ridiculous on guns, both new and used. Guy behind counter at Castleton was kind of nice and pretty helpful. Open carryed at Greenwood. They all looked at me like who do you think you are. I will never buy anything from them. Best gun store I have been to is Fort Liberty Arms in Avon. Nice people and good deals on guns.

Yay! Another Gander-Mountain-has-the-highest-prices-around thread!!!

And you know what? For the most part, you're right.

But you CAN find good deals at Gander Mountain stores. I've found several.

And I've found the gun-counter employees at the Greenwood store to be (again, for the most part) quite knowledgeable. Nice guys, too. Most of 'em know my face, even.

I agree, the gun counter people at the Greenwood store are good to deal with at the personal level but company policies make it tough on them and the customer. Sometimes they will have sales though.

I go to the GM in Castleton to fondle firearms only, not purchase. I can't believe the number of people I see there filling out the 4473 Form. Do you people not price shop!!!
