While attending the always enjoyable Knob Creek machine gun shoot this past weekend i saw something strange.

I saw a few guys on the main firing line with what looked to be full-auto M1 Garand.

Do these exist? There was a lot of people circling around it as it was something special.

    Any thoughts?

Did you see a T or did you see a conversion?

There are sea stories from WWII of full automatic M1s. These later would become the bridges between the M1 and M14, e.g. the T22, T27 or the T44.

    No problem.

A lot of people forget that there are many firearms out there lost to history (look up the Browning designs that Winchester did not make, really cool). Just strange birds like me and my buddy Ian (Forgotten Firearms) pay any attention to them.

I hope you had fun at Knob Creek. It is a museum in action.:D
