    Hello!
I moved my thread over! I know it's an old safe but I have no way to change the (mechanical lock) code as we bought it used. Frontier Safe. I was just throwing it out there to see if anyone had any thoughts? Thanks!

In your other thread @Mgderf suggested you have an S&G lock, maybe the above will help.

If you have the current combination and can open the safe you CAN setup a new combination (see video above). You will need to get a change key to do so.
If you are not comfortable with this procedure, most locksmiths can change the combo in minutes.

:>). No problem, they can be changed as long as you have the current combination. Most of them work the same way, and most safe brands use only a few of the electronic lock brands, but you may need to search youtube for the model you have.

Here is an example of the La Gard lock which is used a lot on different safes.

DO NOT close the door until you are totally confident all is working good.
