Can anyone say - BIG Brother at work? One wonders exactly what kind of training.

"PHOENIX -- Your neighborhood garbage man may soon be working double duty as another set of eyeballs for the police.
Some Waste Management drivers will soon be trained by Phoenix police officers. They'll be on the lookout for suspicious activity.
The department says it’s not any different from a Neighborhood Watch.
"The bottom line is that is puts hundreds more eyes and ears out on the street to help us detect criminal activity and terrorist activity,” said Public Safety Manager Jack Harris, “and for us to respond to those scenes quickly and make the neighborhoods safer."
Harris says the drivers will not have any power to make arrests."

So if for some reason, like your trash can is too heavy..............the garbage man can turn you in to the local PD for being a terrorist?
