Live Free, USA will sponsor a Civilian Emergency Awareness and Preparedness Workshop from 1 to 3 p.m. Sept. 17 at the Hammond Cabela’s Conference Center located on the second floor. The US Department of Homeland Security is encouraging community organizations to conduct civilian preparedness training programs during Preparedness Month. This program will inform participants about potential disasters and emergencies that can and will affect every person in every community. There is no charge for participation, but contributions to continue survival education programs will be appreciated.
