I have two "busy" orange platys. Our 2 have now become 13. I don't want all of my tank room to be taken up with this one species, so I'd like to get rid of some. They range in size from 1/3" to about 1". All but the smallest one would be safe in any community tank unless it's stocked with a really aggressive large carnivorous fish.
Platys are beginner level fish that don't need any special treatment. Pretty darn hardy too. These two were making more while the rest of my tank struggled to survive the nitrate spike.
Tank conditions have been stable and disease-free for the last 4 months, the last issue being the nitrate spike and the secondary infections suffered due to the weakened conditions.
Stores won't take 'em, so help me get rid of them.
