All of Indiana's drivers license are in compliance with the Federal governments requirement to receive transportation money, so therefore, your Indiana Drivers License is your Federal ID. This also applies to all the other states as well. This all happened while most of the population were still asleep, too late now, YOU ARE IN THE SYSTEM!

We've done this in the Military for a long time now. Hell we even have our DNA, blood, fingerprints on file with the government.

You don't need a DL that is part of the new Federal ID system to board a plane. All you need is the federal ID system that is already put in place. It's called a passport. What are these people going to think of next???

Attaching the "Prevent illegal aliens from getting healthcare" ploy to this bad idea is attempting to play on peoples emotions. They hope that "anything to prevent illegals from xyz" is a good thing. I work in a hospital, our ER is full of people everyday for stuff their doctor should be seeing them for. Many don't have doctors or insurance but the hospital is required to see them, they have to be seen but can be turned away for a non-life threatening diagnosis or if the baby isn't in the chute. I would guess that 60% of our ER non-life threatening diagnoses are on people that "no habla ingles". Are they illegal? Don't know! My point is that they are going to recieve free medical care no matter what is done, short of denying all medical care unless you can prove citizenship. That takes us back to the national ID. They are slippery little devils aren't they? First protect our borders, enforce the laws we have, then see what if any new laws are needed. I'm just guessing now but gut instinct tells me that they might even be able to toss out a buttload of laws.

Just what we need another document that they can counterfeit and make money off of. If they haven't realized by now that anything they put out there someone will copy it and sell them to people needing them. Just like they have already done drivers licenses, SS cards, and whatever other personal documents a person might need.

It's a feel good maneuver that they hope gets them votes, and hope doesn't **** off the illegals so that they vote for them, too.

I've heard of hospitals in CA that are shutting down because of the "free" care they give to all the "undocumented workers".
