I'm not a purist myself . I mean my goal is 2-4 Mosins in excellent condition left stock, and then have a few more to mod with different stocks, scopes, bipods, etc.

Glad to help. I'm hoping to get another one as well before too long, they are inexpensive, historical, accurate, large caliber (also inexpensive), and just all around great project guns. I plan on being a Mosin Collector
