I'm posting this simply as a first impression of a potential presidential candidate. Please don't take it as a call to arms or an attempt to convince anyone of any position.

I had an interesting experience today. On my way to meet a client I stopped at a local restaurant to grab a bite to eat. As I was walking in I noticed a gent that was posing for some pictures with the hired help. I thought he looked familiar but couldn't place him. It finally hit me.

    It was Herman Cain.

I introduced myself and talked to him for a few minutes (before his meal got cold). My impression of him was he was a down to earth regular joe. Very friendly and interested in what everyone had to say.

I'll put it like this; My BS detector didn't go off anytime I was talking to him.

Granted there is a lot more to get to know about him, but did want to share some firsthand impressions with everyone. I don't have a horse in the race yet, but did like what I saw and heard this morning.

    YMMV...

I was impressed with him in the Republican debate the other night.
