Firearm Product Placement in TV shows and Movies...

Just wondering if there was such a thing? We've all seen particular shows or movies with all "Ford" vehicles, or all "Pepsi" products where it's obvious that big corporations have paid to have their products used (advertised). Do firearm manufacturers do the same thing. It sure seems like Jack in "24" is partial to Sig, but you do notice Glock and other brands being used in that series as well.

i have noticed NCIS uses sig. it seems like many try to keep it fairly close to reality by using actual handguns that departments are using like sig and glock.

I though I read that Beretta played a big part in Mel Gibson using the 92FS in the Lethal Weapon series. He's seen with a Beretta in a lot of his movies.

Although, in previews for his new movie, Edge of Darkness, he appears to be using a service Glock. I think he plays a cop from Boston...?
