Firearm building ?

Is there a limit to the number of title 1 or 2 firearms an individual can build for themselves per year ?

IIRC, there is no limit to how many you can build for personal use. However, (once again the IIRC comes in because I'm not positive) I've always heard that the maximum that you can build and sell (even if you didn't build them with the intent of selling them) per year is 12.

I have no code references etc, that is just what I've always heard. You're gtg building for yourself, but be careful building and then selling, even if you did not build them with the intent to sell.

When I read the thread title, I thought it was going to be about you having so many guns that you need a separate building for them!

thanks CB, i had an FFL try tell me a person could only build 1 a yr.....

Exactly what do you mean by build? Do you mean manufacture from scratch? All the machining from billet material and such?

I would love to see that done. I have some machining experience but not to the level of building a functioning firearm and I definitely don't own the equipment necessary to do such.
