We have been looking at sound bars and other such things. I didn't want to spend the $$$ on a Bose sound bar either. My wife bought a cheap one that sounds cheap and tinny. I picked up a Jam Plus speaker from target for $50 and love it. Four hour battery life too. You can buy two and have them function in stereo. Just picked up our second one and the stereo setup works great. Sounds awesome and good volume too.

    Amazon has singles for $39.99

My wife got one of the Beats Pill on Black Friday, think she paid $75 for it. It sounds great, holds a charge really well.

I like my Logitech Mini Boombox. It sounds great for its size and has a pretty decent battery life, plus the bass on it isnt too bad. I think now you can get it for around $45-65 (depending on the store online)

Logitech UE (Ultimate ears). Amazing sound, great battery life. Got a good deal on it. Come as single unit, but if u download the app, you can link multiple together and have multiple playing off 1 source.

You can not beat the sound quality of Klipsch. I have the KMC-1 and a couple of the GiG's and they are the best bluetooth speakers I have ever owned.

I bought a set of Klipsch KG-1 speakers in 1990 or 1991 for about $200.00....they still sit in my living room, sounding as good as the day I bought them. Sometimes you spends your money and get something worth it and then some.

Klipsch is what I call good goods.

I use my HDMX Jam Party all day every day at work. It's got great sound and a ridiculous battery life (12hrs constant play).

I know it's out of the price range, but I like my Bose Soundlink II. With the right set up it sounds just like a home speaker system. Sounds great in my lab at work.

+1000, I have a Soundlink II and LOVE it, but I was at the Bose store the other day, and the new III sounds even better!
