    If the picture in the article is of the actual firearms this accomplishes nothing. Looks like bolt action rifles and break action shotguns mostly. Chances are none would have been used in any crime this century.

    While it may indeed be possible these people would forgo the value of the collection to 'send a message' I would look for someone else paying them the equivalent value to do this, making it 'send someone elses message and get paid'

    That's the truth Slyvain! It's sad this junk is also in litigation but I wish I was this dude's long lost nephew or something!
