Has anyone gone on a fair chase guided hog hunt that they can recommend? I don't want to shoot a pen raised or high fence hog. My taxidermist told me the best place would be Texas or Georgia for that.

Thanks for th links I would not have thought to check ebay for a hunting trip.

We are not real picky on the type of hogs we go after. I want a big boar for my wall is about all I am concerned with.

If you do a google search of Texas hog hunts or Georgia hog hunts, you'll get a lot of hits of places that offer hunts. That's how I got the ebay hits.

A friend of mine that has hunted the world, told me yesterday that he is getting lots of discounted hunt notices because their business is down with the economy also. Check around and you may find a real bargain out there.

    Florida is also an option.

I don't have any links to any outfitters, though. Sorry.

I'm kind of tentatively planning a hog hunt with some in-laws that live down near Kennedy Space Ctr.

Her cousin told me he shot a 360lb boar about 10 years ago. He's given to a little exaggeration, though...

    Yep... Sure do. :)

It's a common thing amongst sportsmen, me thinks.

He told me that that boar was bigger than the black bear he killed in North Carolina.

Granted, that's not all that difficult as the eastern Black Bears, on average, aren't all that large.
