I have an Esee 6. It didn't have a p next to it on the description. It has a plain edge. And it rocks.

The "p" and "s" differentiate between plain edge and partially serrated as I said. It may not be in the description when you buy the knife, but it was in the item number when the knife was purchased from ESEE by the dealer.

Bought my first Esee almost a month ago. It is the 3mil. I'm in love. I met Brad to pick it up. They were both great to deal with.

P for plain edge blade and the B is for black blade.

I'm considering selling or trading my 5 for a 3 or laserstrike.

I have all of those, and the 5 is my least favorite. I like the 3 for more of a daily user, and the Laser Strike as a general camp knife. The 5 is just a little too thick for most things I want a knife for. It might be great to help cut yourself out of a crashed aircraft (as it was designed by SERE instructors to do), but kind of sucks for things like slicing a tomatoe, skinning game and cutting meat, general carving, etc.....

You are correct, I was wrong, and I am not smart.

I think you need both a 3 and a Laserstrike. The only reason I don't have a Laserstrike yet is because I have a CM-6, which is kinda similar.
