Anybody carry it or shot it before? It is rated at 1400fps With 500+ foot pounds of energy. That's a beast of a 9mm round and its a gold dot. How does this compare with 9mm NATO Ballistics?

Double Tap is known for their fast shooting ammo. I just got a box of that 9mm in to try also, but have not shot any yet. It should work well. It is faster and has more energy than even the Winchester +p+ 127 grain load. This should bring the 9mm into 357 sig levels as most factory ammo is 125 at 1350fps.

I picked up an assortment of Double Tap to try as I have read good reviews of the ammo. Good luck with your purchase.

Please post feedback once you fire it. They're a bit pricey but worth it. What gun did you get them for?

Save yourselves some money and go buy the Federal 9BPLE 115 +p+ then don't look back.
It will damn near run with that DT stuff at half the price for a 50rnd count box.
9BPLE has been a proven performer for many many years in the field and still shines as always among the new super bullets.

    Trust me...it works. :patriot:

I agree the Federal +p+ load is very good and when you can find it was very reasonable. Ammunition to Go had it a few months ago for under $20 a box of 50.

The assortment of calibers I picked up from Double Tap were:
    115 grain 9mm
    125 grain .357 sig
    125 grain +p 38 special
    125 grain .357 magnum
    135 grain .40 S & W
    165 grain .40 S & W
    135 grain 10 mm
    155 grain 10 mm
    165 grain 10mm
    230 grain .45acp
230 grain standard pressure .45 colt
Unfortunately it will be a little while before I shoot any of it as I have a broken arm and am going to wait until it heals to shoot the Double Tap ammo. I will update once I have test fired some of the ammo.

I have seen ballistics where the federal +p+ fell apart. I'm interested in the double tap because it is a bonded bullet.
