I could swear I've seen pictures of an all metal Walther, but I always hear they're polymer. Did they used to be all metal or something?

Walther made lots of metal firearms. The PP and the PPK for example. It is just that the market is liking poly guns these days. I remember when all S&W and Ruger offerings were metal. I predict that the all metal firearms will again be desirable after the market is saturated with poly pistols and the early generations start getting brittle and cracking.

I also own a p-38, with matching serial numbers and Nazi proof marks. They are a very interesting design too with dual recoil springs, made very much like a miniature artillery piece.

Those Germans were tough guys. The handle is so large that I can't get a proper grip and the trigger-pull must be a hundred pounds.

    P 38 is a hoot to shoot!

feel free to kick me for that cheesy wording later.

traded my lats one a while back, still have the holster. Nothing like pulling it out and demanding to see one's papers in a mock german accent.
