Both are great guns but I'd probably opt for the Legion. You can add parts to the Elite to get 98% of the Legion feature set but it will cost just as much and when done, you will still have an Elite. Should you later decide to sell it, you'll get more of your money back out of the LegionSo the question is now should I go with an Elite or the Legion? The legion just seems kind of ready to go but I hear good things about the Elite too. I think the big thing for me is I want the red dot on top. Is the one that comes on the Legion any good or should I just have a shop cut it for an RMR?
yes they doThey do have a Legion that is cut for optics:
P226 Legion RXP Full-Size
This masterful pistol has received a series of enhancements based on the needs and wants of professionals. Available in DA/SA and SAO.www.sigsauer.com
The word you’re looking for is “fun”I’ve been doing a lot of dry fire with the P226. I have to say, I really do like these pistols.

Full size......Full sized P220 or the P220 Carry? 4.4" barrel vs 3.9" barrel. (Grip and frame are the same size.)
And while .5" does not seem like a lot, it is a big difference for us IWB folks.
No sir, that is the P220 Elite Dark Carry.Full size......
BudNo sir, that is the P220 Elite Dark Carry.
This is the full sized version (notice the longer slide in relation to the frame):
Also, the Carry version has "melted edges" on the slide and a few other places.
I think after these posts, I'll need to go on a search for a 229 Nightmare. Passed up one awhile back and now regret it.Saw this on that other site the other day. It's a case hardened style anodizing that looks really nice. The intention was to build an homage to guns of the old west. I like how it turned out
