Iv been going back and forth on the diy camouflage with spray paint. This weekend I decided to just go for it and I think it actually turned out halfway decent. I figured worst case scenario I could always disassemble the pistol and just acetone dip it. Here’s the results. Curious if anyone else has experience with this and what yours looks like.

Camo looks great. But "pistol"?? Looks like an adjustable but stick to me.
Its a brace. You can see the strap in the before pic.

OP make sure that strap gets back on it. IANAL, but my understanding is modifying a brace by adding to or subtracting from it negates the original design approval from the AFT and makes it no longer a brace.

    Camo job looks great!

Paint is still drying on the brace strap. Turns out spray paint doesn’t stick to them very well so I had to strip it and go with acrylic

It’s a sb tactical pistol brace. For bracing pistols and whatnot. Definitely no shouldering going on over here. That 9.5 pistol barrel sure throws a wicked fireball tho. I wanted to build it as a nightstand gun but after shooting it a bit, I realized after the first shot everyone would just be blind so I repurposed it into a barn gun for coyotes and snakes. She’s a rare breed of a pistol, that’s for sure!

Side question, anyone with experience with rattle can paint jobs but is it going to cook all the paint off the barrel and gas tube?
It'll depend on how many shots you take in quick succession. If you dump a couple of mags, I bet regular spray paint will bubble and peel. If you keep it slower it might last. You might have to buy some high temperature spray paint and repaint it once it peels.
