    The v10 just refers to a slide & barrel porting job done by the Springfield custom shop. It can be applied to almost any model as far as I know.


    I had a loaded 1911 with the v10.

    You're welcome. There's always the possibility that I'm wrong, too. Wait and see if anyone else with more experience chimes in as I've only owned a few Springfield 1911s.

    Ryan got it. There is the V10 porting on the compacts, V12 on the full size, and V16 on the big 6" longslide 45 super. Any of those configs can be ordered through the custom shop, but those are the correlations I have found so far…and I have researched a TON of springfield 1911 configurations…
