    Well that's really disappointing, but I'm kind of surprised it hadn't happened earlier. I got to see it once driving by the area, and I thought it was pretty neat that it was on public display.

    Sad. I remember the news story when it went up on display. Didn't get a chance to see it, and even if they somehow get it back, I'm sure it won't be out on display like that again.

    I have been told it is a movie prop. I have seen it up close and it is very rough. If it is a real gun, it should never have beenin that glass case on the highway.

    I know from reading about this gun before that it was deactivated, but the linked article doesn't say anything about that...maybe I read too fast, but I wonder if this was a purposeful omission? :tinfoil:
