I just found out the new gun shop in Crawfordsville was robbed over night. I don't have a link or anything just yet. The electrical meter was destroyed. And the front window was broken in. I haven't heard what was stolen yet. But from what I hear, it's pretty bad.

The tack sharp crimminal mind probably thought taking out the box would disable the alarm system? As though an even sharper mind would not think about that battery backup. They have been open only a couple of months, I hope they come out of it. They need a good shop over that way.

Did it have something to do with bacon?

    It always does. ;)

Why would they destroy the electrical meter?

In the hopes their alarm system didn't have a battery backup? :dunno:

(Although even the cheap ones typically have them.)

I drove by there an hour ago and didn't notice any damage to the front of the store. It just looked like they were closed.
I didn't stop and snoop around but would expect some visible activity.

    Waiting for an update.

I just heard they only took one gun. It was $4000. I think it was that machine gun he had in there.

Well there it is ... a machine gun involved in a crime ... dang it where are those brady people when you need them :dunno: .... oh wait ... IT was the victim of the crime ...

yes ... that is supposed to be sarcasm (hopefully i did that right) ... I hope all is recovered quickly - especially the shop and the shop owner ...

That means they knew what it was and had it scoped out ahead of time.
Probably walked in the the front door earlier in the week to "look around".
They might have even handled it while in there.

That's too bad, hope everything works out. I try to go in there every couple weeks, but usually don't buy anything. I was excited when it opened, but am NOT excited about $20 AR mags and $30 pMags. Ammo is stupid high, too. Don't they realize that if they're stuff was reasonably priced, I would freaking be their biggest customer? Making 1 or 2 bucks off a $15 product is better than making $0 off of a $30 one, especially when a lot of $15 products would be moving.

    Oh well...

I grew up in C'ville. What new gun shop? Where is it located?:dunno:

Across from Lemming Supply on 136 east of town.
