It seems the general consensus on impeachment is that it will hurt the GOP in November. They can ill afford that. Best to take over the Congress and stifle everything this fool tries to pull.

There is quite literally nothing the man could do to get himself impeached. Nothing. If there's one things politicians understand it's that those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Precious few have closets which aren't packed full of skeletons and none of them want anyone to start opening those doors in retaliation. The monster that is D.C. is self sustaining and has a thorough understanding of how to continue to thrive.

Turning 5 major terrorists back into the theater would, alone, warrant impeachment as an act of treason.

Time & place for everything. Time & place for everything.

If he enacts an EO that orders an executive branch agency to do something legal then there is no grounds for impeachment. If it's something illegal then a case would have to be made. With congress sitting on their asses doing nothing, I frankly don't see any that he can do anything else other than order his people to act in a legal manner. People here are schizo. They'd love for him to go ahead and bomb Russia or Iran without a declaration of war but having executive branch agencies do things within their purview is apparently something else.

Impeachment isnt good enough. He needs to be tried for crimes including treason. Once found guilty all laws and eo's he has passed will be null and void. Not saying I wont be happy about impeachment though!

He can't be impeached as long as his party controls the Senate. The house won't initiate proceedings, because they know the other chamber will vote on a straight party line. Our 2 party system is a joke at this point.

    This. And he knows it.

The skeletons in the closet is one aspect. But more importantly, there's no political appetite for it. Yeah, there's folks on the right end of the spectrum that think he deserves it but there's the other 66-75% that are on the continuum between don't care to idol-worship that will not support it. Congress cannot proceed with impeachment without the proper public will.

I thought Boehner was trying to sue Obama instead of impeachment? I mean, neither one will actually work. Impeachment will make the GOP look bad and Boehner won't see his day in court until Obama is well out of office already.

You have to wonder whether the administration and its friends are talking about impeachment now—in a vacuum—so that when they do something truly terrible and impeachment-worthy they can say “we told you they wanted to impeach him" and make it seem as if it was inevitable, rather than the direct result of an unprecedented power-grab.

It was said last night that the impeachment issue is a hoax from the republican position. It was started by democrats, pushed by democrats to blame and tarnish republicans but mostly to get contributions up for the democrats and it worked. Three million bucks in the last week, one million bucks in just one day all because the democrats started the rumor about the republicans impeaching obama. But no one can see through this to the trash that started such a ruse.

This immigration thing is also a hoax. It is all about votes. It has been about votes and it will end up being about votes. Obama will come back from another vacation, use his magic pen and make citizens of all those folks who are now here. The kids become the next voting generation and owe their citizenship to uncle obama.
It would be very interesting to see where all these folks have been shipped to. How many votes do they need in that state for a guaranteed democrat vote sweep? Well start the buses and send the votes in there , type thing.
