How do you make the engravings white (or any other color) on a firearm. Not real sure I want to attempt the whole Testor Paint thing, and I saw something Googled that said to use wax crayons.

How else can you go about it?

    Thanks Scutter01.

I was thinking of making an attempt. Your way looks manageable.

It really wasn't hard at all, just a little time-consuming because of the fine detail. Also, the paint has so far held up to gun solvents for over a year so I don't have to keep re-doing it.

Are the lacquer sticks from Brownells the same thing? Easy to clean off if you change your mind?

Stick with Scutter01 tips and you will be fine. It really is not as hard as you think. I felt the same way before I did one of mine and I put it off for a long time because I was too scared. Good luck!

If you go for it post some pics when done!

I haven't used lacquer sticks, but I believe they're a LOT more permanent. Personally, I'll stick with the hobby paint.

I got my Testors Gloss White Paint, a #000 brush, and some thinner today. As soon as I eat my Hinkles, I am gonna tackle one of my sidearms.

Sorry about the crappy pic...the battery is dead in my Canon. This is from my iPhone.
