I'm trying to decide whether to sign up for the August Appleseed at Atlana or the one at Cloverdale. Do the same instructors teach at both clubs?

    Where's the bacon?
I'm trying to decide whether to sign up for the August Appleseed at Atlana or the one at Cloverdale. Do the same instructors teach at both clubs?

Sometimes. I've taught at both; so have some others. We all go where we can and where we're needed, and sometimes we get instructors from out of state as well. So where should you sign up? The course of fire will be similar at both. When I was at Atlanta, I don't recall a facility that allowed for full-distance shooting. Cloverdale has up to about 100 yards, but our course of fire teaches you how to apply your skills to shooting at that and longer distances; the actual distance being available does a nice job of letting you prove that to yourself.

Wherever you sign up, I'm sure you will have instructors ready to teach you. Curiosity, though: Why August? We have shoots all through the year, including a couple coming up in January and some in February, too. Click on the RWVA oval in my signature to see the current schedule of shoots, and don't forget to stretch in the weeks leading up to the shoots you sign up for... your body will thank you later.

    Blessings,
    Bill

Thanks. August fits into my schedule the best. I did the Appleseed at Cloverdale last October and thought the instructors were very good. I got hooked on the idea of earning the patch.

    August it is then!

Until then - have you been dry-firing? :): The Christmas tree makes for an awesome NPOA shift practice target with all of those bright, shiny things on it - thinking about leaving mine up all year 'round. :rockwoot:

Each 'seed is slightly unique but they're all great! ;)

Hope to see you out there on the line again this year. :yesway:
