My daughter (6) just isn't quite coordinated enough to use the peep sights yet. I would like to put a cheap red dot on it. Scopes don't work because they are all too long.

check out natchez. they have a bsa red dot for $20 something, with shipping right at $30. i have one on a 22 pistol, holds point well. not the best by a long shot, but perfect for a cricket.

    Thanks everyone!

I think I'm all taken care of (pending actually setting up a meeting with the person).

Hopefully it works out for her. I was so bummed when I tried to show her how to use the sights. Luckily I did it at home BEFORE taking her to the range. Peep sights seem like a poor choice for this age. She just doesn't understand how to change the focus of your eyes before being able to see what you are focusing on. I think some type of open iron sights would be much better on these.

Priority #1 right now is for this to be fun. I don't want to scare her away.
