I believe that's the basement of Bruce Stern of Connecticut, not C.H.

    snopes.com: Charlton Heston's Gun Collection

    (Although according to Wikipedia, "
An interview with a family member stated that even the re-attribution of the Heston Collection to Mr. Stern is incorrect." It doesn't provide any further detail.)

I just noticed this, but in the 3rd picture, that little "window" thing-- is that an indoor shooting range with swinging targets??

    Sweet!

All that work to make a kick ass vault, and they stole furniture out of my doctors office.:): Still, an impressive collection no matter whose it is, or what chairs he has.

When I first was those photos several months ago, I knew they were not Mr. Heston's firearms because he couldn't understand why anyone would want to own an AK-47. Based on that statement, I believe he was against honest persons owning any military style firearm. When Mr. Heston was selected as president of the NRA, this long time NRA member had a cow. The hypocrisy of his anti-AK statement with his so called standing backing the second amendment made me sick, and almost caused me to tell the NRA to go to heck. I didn't quit them but did write a nasty letter.

No that is definately not mister anti-military style weapons Heston's collection.

Scutter is correct as to who's toy box this is. the cabinets in the pics are full of NFA toys that he rotates out on display, and he still has stuff in storage elsewhwere.

    And it seems that
    NRA director Bruce Stern,pass on

I was just told that NRA director Bruce Stern, of Connecticut, died suddenly. As an attorney should do, working at his desk. Very sad -- Bruce was a good fellow, and very funny one, always ready with a joke or witty pun.
UPDATE: there will be family-only services. Memorial donations can be made to NRA Foudation. Condolences can be sent to Judi and his family at 75 Heritage Drive, Trumbull, CT 06611.

and the collection was to be auctioned off :xmad:
