Truly amazing--the meeting of two apex predators. It looks like a safe bet that the hunter in front had to go put on clean undershorts after this encounter.

here's the scene. gotta love the chuckle as he's getting up, and the quick handshake (quite possibly to keep him from wobbling).

I have a DVD called "Death Rush" its this professional hunter that doesnt believe it is fair unless the animal charges him and is a few feet away when he pulls the trigger. Lots of hippos and elephants and buffalo charging, getting shot, and dying at his feet.

I've seen a few vids. Seems as though the PH's stay low and the cats straighten out in the last bit of charge, as long as the gun goes boom it ends well ;)

as long as the gun goes boom.
I knew I shouldn't have taken that American Eagle bulk pack of .22s.

I would have just thrown the poop at him. It would have been from the pile of poop forming behind me.

Not for nothing but do they have a death wish? They are already hunting animals who by nature design are very adept at killing animals who are faster than a human.

If they had a death wish they would be hunting them with a knife. They are using rifles so its just standard old dangerous game hunting and every once in a while it goes a little wrong but for the most part nothing happpens.

I guess you could carve that on the headstone:

"Usually it doesn't go this bad."

Driving a car down the road will more likely get you killed than lion hunting so........I guess we all take chances in some way or another.:twocents:

What a waste of a beautiful creature.

When managed correctly Lion hunting can be very benefical to local tribes economy. Also if you take only old males it opens up for more males to come into an area and breed so all in all its not waste.
