I am champin away, waiting for my 7" longslide to get finished by Tussey Custom.

It is a reworked SS AMT long-slide on a SS Colt Series 80 enhanced frame.
It is pretty much getting the works. The origional 5" slide will also be interchangable with the 7" slide.:draw:

Terry did a officers sized, stealth comp rework pistol for me 2 years ago, and it rocks. So even though it takes a while to get something done, and it aint cheap, it is well worth it when the package comes.

If I can figure out how to post pictures, I will when it comes in.

You need to make a account on the photo server like Photobucket then hit the lil yellow stamp above where you write your messages to post and insert or paste the img addy of the pic.

With that said I love to see it.

We damn near lost one of the finest 1911 in the world.
Good to see Terry is still able to do his craft.

    Are you kidding?
AMT sux, at least mine did.

It was the only 7" longslide ever made by a manufacturer though, the standard being 6"

The slide was servicable, but the frame is trash, I would be ashamed to try and pawn it off at a gun store even...

Since the slide was workable, I slipped it onto my SS series 80 Colt, and everything seemed to work when I took out the firing pin block from the series 80 frame. I had Terry turn the AMT series 70 slide into a series 80 though, and tune everything to run.

I still have the frame if you want this "FINE" piece of 1911 history though:rolleyes:

Maybe some kind soul would post the pics if I sent it to them Via e-mail...I dont do photobuckets and such.

Ok, so this is going to take even longer, as I called in another addition to it today.

Now it will be a total custom pistol, and an expensive 1 to boot...

Oh well, every 1911 lover has to do it at least once....right? :draw:
