I am sry because i know that this has probably been covered sometime before here. I am having trouble finding it though. It is my understanding that you cannot carry even if it is a school is private school. Or at an event at that school. Im asking because my sister has a basket ball game tonight that i will be attending and i wasnt planning on carrying unless i am mistaken and it is legal. So..can i carry at a private school basket ball game?

School is clearly defined by the state code, doesn't make any difference if it is public, private, charter, religious, etc. School = School = NO CARRY*

*there is a very limited exemption to carry on school grounds that allows you to carry inside your car, only while picking up/dropping off your student for a school function, but that would NOT apply to your situation as outlined in the OP.

As others have already stated, school is school.

If it were me, I'd just leave it at home instead of taking the risk of getting it stolen by leaving it in my car(off of school property).
