I have been wondering if its legal to take your guns out on your boat, like to shoot clays etc...

Actually i cant think of a better place than 20 or 30 miles out so peaceful and quiet, that is until shell:do2: shot rings out.

As long as miles are between you and other boaters i see no danger posed??

what do yall think?? any coastguard members or cops know the law

Like I said in the other thread, you would fall under the laws of whichever state you happened to be in. You would not in Indiana if you went 20 or 30 miles north of the Indiana coast line. Most States treat boats like cars, so if it is legal to carry in your car, it would be legal to carry in a boat. Discharging the gun would be another issue, again grounded in state law for whichever state you are in at the time.
