I'm looking for a good two point sling for my AR pistol. I would love if they had a multicam camo color, but I could settle for just a plain ol black sling. I want something simple and not too bulky. What would you suggest?
I've got a VTAC and just got a Magpul MS1. I like how easily the MS1 adjusts compared to the MS2 & MS3 that I had but I don't have enough time with it yet to say whether I'll like it as much or better than my VTAC.
I have one of the viking vtac slings in multicam. I really like it but don't have much to compare it to. Also have one in coyote and it seems to adjust a little better. The strap material is a little different than the multicam. Both are the padded versions.
I have the wide padded vtac sling. I like it. I've also had the blue force gear sling. I don't have a favorite. I think the Blue Force was a little easier to use and had less to snag on things. The vtac is more comfortable tho
As a side note, I also have a Troy. While the shoulder pad is great and the webbing is nice, adjustment is horrible. I'd love to add some Magpul type QD hardware to it.
Strapworks out of Oregon sells everything you need to make any sort of sling you can image. It's cheaper and you can make the exact sling you want sized just for you.
Another vote for the Vickers. Built like a tank, can be padded or not and available in and assortment of colors. Mine is coyote tan and even after a combat tour and 6 years still looks like new.
Botach has a Sig Sauer 3-in-1 1.25" sling with 2 QD swivels on sale for $15.00 w free shipping. Ordered a couple and they shipped quick.
Good swivels alone are worth $15. Made in USA.
