Thinking of getting into detecting, anybody know which NWI beaches we can scan? Is the mine lab vanquish 340 a good newby choice?

Pretty crazy this thread popped up for me , as my son just told me that he got his son one for Christmas ( not sure of the model )
I bought a Whites Eagle II back in the 80`s , and still have it today . Haven`t hunted in quite a while and never gave it the workout that it is capable of . Found some pretty crazy things along the way .

I'm from the east coast, what's very popular is to search old newspapers and books for where beaches, amusement parks and popular swimming areas were decades ago. And detect there.

Besides riding my mc, this has always intrigued me and I watch a lot of YouTube videos. What they usually don't show you is the random junk they find - all treasures!
